The farm was reinstated in 2003 when we purchased a flock of pedigree Texel and a few Romney crosses sheep.
Poppinghole Farm is now home to many more breeds and types of animals including Border Leicester sheep, Sussex and Sussex cross cattle, grazing the fields in the summer and housed in the winter. Gloucester Old Spot and other native pigs that live in the woods. All producing fully traceable meat for our meat boxes. A variety of chickens, to include, sussex white, cochins, marans and black sussex, that provide the family and holiday cottages with lovely fresh eggs.
The farm is also home to our friendly sheep dogs and much loved family labradors.
